Avi Azulai, Chairman

Avi Azulai - Chairman

Avi Azulai is the co-founder and was the Group Managing Director of iTouch Plc. until March 2005. iTouch was a publicly listed company on the LSE (ITU.L) that focused on providing information and entertainment to mobile users in over 20 countries. In 2004 iTouch had 350 staff and annual turnover of approximately £78m and £8 million (EBITDA) profit. One of the top 3 leading mobile services providers in Europe, iTouch was purchased by For-side.com for £180 million in May 2005.

Prior to iTouch, Avi has held a number of positions in the information technology and online information systems industries. Avi holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and has completed a Diploma in Management at Henley Management College (UK). Today Avi is the chairman of Blackbay, Handmade Mobile Entertainment Ltd and Vista Diagnostics Ltd.

Larry Klimczyk, Managing Director

Larry Klimczyk - Managing Director

Born in Seattle, Larry has over 20 years of management experience (with Motorola, Deutsche Post, and TNT), lived in five countries, and experience working in over 40 countries around the world. During his travels, Larry has built a wealth of knowledge in international distribution, and creating solutions with technology in data capture, mobile computing and wireless communication. An experienced speaker at international conferences, Larry's work has supported a wide range of industries in maximising their return on investment, improving business processes for data capture and communication in real-time. To complement his hands on international experience, Larry also gained his MBA in Asia Pacific studies with the National University of Singapore.

Emil Gigov, Non-Executive Director

Emil Gigov, Non-Executive Director

Emil is a director of Close Ventures, a leading UK venture capital company which is part of Close Brothers Group Plc.  He joined the board of Blackbay in April 2006, following Close Ventures' £3.5 million investment in the company. As a director of Close Ventures Emil is responsible for making a number of venture investments and currently sits on the board of several companies.  Prior to joining Close in March 2000 Emil worked in KPMG Corporate Finance advising clients on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions.  He is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and holds a BA Hons degree from the European Business School in London.

Elmar Toime, Non-Executive Director

Elmar Toime, Non-Executive Director

Elmar Toime holds a Non-Executive Director role with mobile solutions specialist, Blackbay. He is also an independent adviser to the postal sector, based on his broad experience as a senior executive in the industry for many years.

Elmar was formerly the executive Deputy Chairman of Royal Mail Holdings plc and Chairman of the Royal Mail Management Board.  He had group-wide responsibilities across Royal Mail and Post Office Ltd operations.  In that period, he was also chairman of GLS, Royal Mail’s European parcels distribution business.  Prior to this he had been CEO of New Zealand Post.
