Regional Business Development Manager (Complex Software Solutions)

Blackbay delivers real-time mobile worker solutions that enable business process improvements to Supply Chain and Field Service mission-critical operations. Our applications are based on proven technology with over 40,000 mobile staff currently using our solutions.

We have a strong customer base in Melbourne and we are currently looking to replace our regional sales manager. This role focuses on three core areas of account management, new business development into our focus areas and management of our strong partner network.

Blackbay is seeking motivated professional who has a proven track record in selling software solutions into the Transport and Logistics and Break Fix and Maintenance Service sectors.

Job Requirements
  • The ability to understand complex IT solutions and sell these solutions to the key stake holders within an organisation, including operations, IT and senior management.
  • Knowledge of what real time information can deliver to the customer and their clients
  • Knowledge of business process change and how to make these changes as painless as possible
  • The ability to work with a remote delivery team (Christchurch, NZ)
  • Travel to New Zealand will be required for training
  • Reporting to the APAC regional director in New Zealand
The role will require broad selling skills and significant experience in selling software into our key sectors, including:
  • Excellent working knowledge of the industry sectors
  • A high level of experience in a Consultative sales cycle selling software solutions
  • Ability to present Return On Investment models for the proposed solution
  • An understanding of mobile communications
  • Ability to plan sales campaigns with the assistance of the Marketing and Sales Managers
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Ability to sell into prospective customers at C Leve
