The Gartner MarketScope focuses on software vendors that provide off the shelf mobile applications for enterprise users. According to Gartner, the purpose of the MarketScope for Packaged Mobile Applications Platform research is "to provide a decision framework for enterprises evaluating potential vendors, as well as an overview of the participating companies approach to the market, their technology capabilities, and the size and scope of their go-to-market activities."

Also in the pipeline for release are Android versions of Blackbay's Delivery Connect and Service Connect mobile worker management software.
