Blackbay's Professional Service approach is based on the PRINCE2 project management framework. This approach was adapted as Prince2@Blackbay and tailored to meet the requirements of enterprise mobility projects.
PRINCE2 is recognised as an industry leading framework for project management enabling organisations to gain greater control of resources, manage business and project risk effectively, and provide a flexible and adaptable approach to suit the requirements of individual projects. It encourages formal recognition of responsibilities within a project and focuses on what a project needs to deliver, how, when and by whom.
Blackbay have developed a standard delivery approach, based on years of experience, delivering mobility solutions to organisations with integration for as few as 10 users to hundreds of thousands of users. The delivery approach consists of two major components – stages and processes. The processes, which form Prince2@Blackbay framework, ensure that Blackbay manages the project successfully while the stages ensure the team delivers what is required.
This approach can be tailored to suit specific customer stages and this is identified by working closely with the customer's project manager during project initiation. Blackbay follows a standard Waterfall based implementation approach, but other software development methodologies can also be adopted as required.
