Q & A

What are the contract terms?

For the Essentials & Essentials+ packages, the contract length is 6 months. After 6 months, a longer term or rolling contract can be provided.

Essentials+ and Enterprise contract terms can be negotiated as part of an overall package.

Do I need to buy services?

Yes. All new Blackbay customers receive start-up services as part of their contract. However, if additional training and services are required, this can be added as bundles. As part of your sign-up process, Blackbay will help tailor the package that is right for you.

How does a free trial work?

The free trials provide you with a full version of a Delivery Connect for 30 days. You will receive a start-up webinar and will be assigned an implementation consultant to assist you during your trial. Blackbay can assist with import/export tools to allow you to trial the application with your own data. You will gain the full experience of the extent of the Blackbay software for your chosen configuration, so you know exactly what you’re getting when you become a Delivery Connect customer.

Are there any separate sending fees for notifications?

Yes. If you choose to send delivery notifications via SMS, these will incur the standard SMS fees for the chosen provider. Blackbay can assist with discounted pricing with selected SMS gateway providers.

How do I input my jobs into Delivery Connect?

If you have purchased the Essentials or Essentials+ package, we will provide a simple import tool that will enable you to load a CSV file with your daily jobs. Any ad-hoc jobs can be loaded via the Admin web portal. For customers who purchase a Premier or Enterprise package, TMS integration support will be provided.

For customer who purchased Premier and Enterprise, TMS integration support can be provided.

What maps are used?

Delivery Connect leverages the native maps installed on your mobile device. These include Apple Maps for iOS and Google Maps for Android. For a more comprehensive turn-by-turn solution, we work with ALK Technologies (CoPilot).

Can Blackbay provide integration help?

Yes. If your organisation does not have the IT resources to support integration and setup, Blackbay can provide this for you. A list of our professional service solutions can be provided upon request.

Can I start with the essentials and add modules later on or upgrade to the next level?

Yes. For example, if you subscribe to the Essentials+ package and you want to upgrade to the Premier package, you simply increase the difference in cost per device per month. However, you are unable to reduce down to the Essentials package during the agreed contracted term.

Some Add-Ons are unavailable for the Essentials and Essentials+ packages.

How do I increase my user numbers?

You can request additional licences through the Blackbay team at any point in the contract and we will simply add an additional cost to your next invoice.

Can I reduce my user numbers if I sign up for 6 months?

No. A minimum commitment is required each month at the agreed sign-on level. However, we do offer ‘peak’ uplift, whereby users can be added during the peak period and reduced afterwards.

Which regions do Blackbay support?

Blackbay supports all global regions, with local offices in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand. In regions where we do not have a local presence, we utilise our network of partners. Contact us for more information on your region.

Can Blackbay arrange devices and telco plans?

Blackbay is a software provider. However, we have a number of partners that support our solutions who we can introduce you to, with bundled offerings available through our partners for airtime, devices and services.

Which languages do Blackbay support?

Blackbay’s product is fully internationalised.
